I took these shots in 2007/08.... Sooooooo glad I did now. Nothing technically grand, but memories of a stunning Great-Nana that I will treasure always. At the time, Nan was apparently NOT wanting her picture taken ~ why on earth would I want a photo of her wrinkles!!?? But then she would strike a pose like this! Love you Nan. Jem, I'm sitting here reading your post and listening to the 'pictures of you' song and I am crying! This is a beautiful post and a lovely way to say goodbye. Jem....Beautiful treasured memories of a truly beautiful woman captured .... I think the women of this era had something so special about them, we can all learn a lot from them.
I'm sure she is looking down on all of you. Her loved ones here let her go and now the other loves of her life have her back.
